About Yaoming Theater
Ye Peiying, the instructor of Yaoming Theater, has not only obtained professional qualifications, but also has considerable experience. She holds the fifth-graduation certificate of Hong Kong Bahe Cantonese Opera Academy, and the graduation certificate of the Chinese University and Bahe Cantonese Opera Academy Certificate Course. Ye Peiying is also an actor in the Chinese Artists Association of Hong Kong. She specializes in the role of female actress and teaches Cantonese opera. She often participates in various theater troupes, performing in Hong Kong, Singapore and China. Currently teaching in Tai Po Leung Shing Tak Primary School, Tai Po Wu Lai Wo Primary School, Tai Po Residents Association’s Hui Yin Society, Tai Po Lok Kwan Volunteer Group, Sha Tin Lek Yuen Village Elderly Centre, and Ma On Shan Elderly Centre.
The Cantonese Opera and Cantonese opera classes of the Yao Ming Sing Theatre Company are well organized. Each class is 1 hour and 30 minutes, and the singing and acting session each occupies 45 minutes:
Singing (45 minutes) includes 15 minutes for practicing handwriting, luck, and 30 minutes for teaching singing.
Acting (45 minutes) includes 15 minutes of basic skills such as stepping, leg press, and hand making, as well as 30 minutes of rehearsal.
Children aged 4-12 can choose to participate in the children's Cantonese opera class of the troupe. The troupe divides the children's Cantonese opera class into two categories:
Children's Cantonese Opera Class (2 classes)
Children's Cantonese Opera Fundamental Class (Class 1)
